顾伟玺 (Gu Weixi), born in 1963 in Lianyungang, Jiangsu, stands as a luminary in the realm of Chinese art. His academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the Nanjing Art Institute in 1989, specializing in Chinese painting. His passion for the arts led him to further his studies, obtaining both Master's and Doctorate degrees. 

In his current roles, Gu Weixi serves as the Dean of the Chinese Painting Research Institute at Southeast University, a Professor at the Art College, and a Doctoral Research Supervisor. His influence extends to being the head of a key Philosophy and Social Sciences research base in Jiangsu Province's universities. He also holds the esteemed position of Chief Editor for the "Chinese Painting Research" publication and is a proud member of the China Artists Association.

Reflecting on his past contributions, Gu Weixi has held significant positions at Shanghai University, including Assistant Dean of the Art Research Institute and Deputy Dean of the Public Art Research Institute. At the Guangxi Art Institute, his roles encompassed Deputy Dean and Professor of the Chinese Painting College, Director of the Art Museum, and the Academic Leader of Art History.
