Lu Shan graduated from Suzhou Arts and Crafts Institute, Nanjing Art Institute, and pursued his master's studies at the Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts, Li Tiesheng Landscape Studio. In the same year, he began teaching at the Nanjing Art Institute.

Among his notable works are "Dialogue with Nature", "Rain Flower Stone Series", and "Winter on the Banks of Qinhuai River". His magnum opus, "Jinling's 108 Sceneries", which took years to complete, garnered widespread attention and was featured by over 50 media outlets, including Yangzi Evening News, Jiangsu TV, Study Xi Strong Nation, CCTV Network, and Xinhua Network.
