The main body of this vessel is meticulously handcrafted from purple copper, its deep, mellow tones exuding an understated vintage charm, as though carrying the quiet patina of centuries past. At the base, brass provides a striking contrast—its radiant golden luster serving as a brilliant accent, elevating the piece with a sense of refined opulence.

The Symbolism of the Square Form

Departing from the convention of the round cup, the square rim asserts a distinctive presence. In Chinese tradition, “Si Fang” (the four directions) symbolize cosmic balance and earthly stability, a wish for peace and harmony. The design’s clean lines and sharply defined corners are softened through careful polishing, achieving a rare harmony between strength and elegance.
